Holmes Food Cupboard - Donations always needed and much appreciated!

The Holmes Food Cupboard helps provide food to our students in need over the weekends and during school closures when our students do not have access to food services.  All school year long, the counseling department is in need of the following items:  peanut butter, jelly, canned fruit, and bread. Ready-to-eat and ready-to-cook foods are also always welcome!  Donations can be dropped off in the counseling office.

The PTA is currently seeking volunteers for positions on the board for the 2016-2017 school year.  We are currently seeking volunteers for the following positions:  President, Vice President, Volunteer Coordinator, Membership Coordinator as well as chairs for various events during the year.  If you are interested, please contact the PTA at for more information.

We would also like to invite you to our last meeting of the year on May 9th from 5:30pm-6:30pm in the Holmes Media Center.  We will be discussing elections for next year, plans for the coming year, and the school gift, and would love your participation and input.

Keep using those cards!

Woo hoo! So far, we have had $9,560.00 in King Soopers gift card reloads, which means we've earned $478.00 for the PTA just by doing our regular shopping!  (As of this posting, our Safeway gift card statement is not yet available.)  A huge "THANK YOU!" to everyone who has used their cards to shop! 

Please don't forget to use your cards.  Every dollar counts!  (Order forms are available in the office.)

Did you know?  If 300 families spend $120 per month in groceries from King Soopers and/or Safeway, the PTA could earn $21,600 for our students in 1 year?

Woo hoo! So far, we have had $574.50 in Safeway gift card reloads and $4,700.00 in King Soopers gift card reloads, which means we've earned $263.73 for the PTA just by doing our regular shopping. A huge "Thank you" to everyone who used their cards last month for a combined total of $3020 in reloads! 

Please don't forget to use your cards.  Every dollar counts!  New cards are on order, so if you haven't gotten yours yet, order one soon!  (Order forms are available in the office.)

Mark Your Calendars - Monday, Sept. 14, 5:30-6:30pm is the first PTA Meeting of the 2015-2016 School Year

Holmes PTA / SAC meeting **Updated**

Please see message below.

There will be a joint PTA and SAC meeting at 4:00pm on Monday March 16, at Holmes in room 93.  In addition to a Principal’s Report from Mr. Utter, and updates from PTA and SAC, we will hear from D11 administration regarding the Mill Level Override, which will be on the November ’16 ballot, and how it will impact schools if passed.  Please join us for an informative meeting on the current happenings and future plans for Holmes Middle School.  All parents and guardians are welcome.

March 9, 2015 - Tonight's meeting canceled *UPDATED*

Tonight's PTA meeting has been canceled and will be rescheduled with SCAC for a special presentation from D-11 Board Members on the Mill Levy vote. We will let you know as soon as it has been recheduled. Thanks!

Update:   The combined PTA / SAC meeting has been rescheduled for Monday, March 16th, at 4:30pm.  D-11 MLO will give a 20 minute presentation.

Save the Date: Nov. 14th Bingo Night Rescheduled for Dec. 12th

November's Bingo Night has been rescheduled for Friday, December 12, 2014, from 5:30-8:30pm. Doors open at 5:30pm and Bingo starts at 6:30pm. Just $5 for eight games!

Bring your lucky rabbit's foot and be ready to have lots of fun!

Welcome to the Holmes PTA website. 

Holmes Middle School has an active PTA that supports the Holmes community in many ways. The community includes students, parents/guardians, staff, and even the surrounding neighborhoods and businesses. Our goal is to provide opportunities for everyone to be involved, share information about PTA events, sponsor school-wide activities that are fun, informative, and positive, and raise additional funds for the benefit of our students, staff, and building.

Some of the events and activities include a fall book fair, quarterly Bingo nights, parent forums, informal lunches and lattes with Holmes administrators (sponsored by SAC), the Reflections program, a clothing exchange, staff appreciation events, and free vision/hearing screenings. Our many volunteers are key to making these programs successful and making Holmes a great place to attend school.
