This is what 3900 Box Tops looks like!  Thanks for your contributions!  Keep collecting them.  Our next collection will be at the end of February.  There will be a contest, so hang on to them until you know all of the details.  Our goal is $1000 for the year so we need 6100 Box Tops at the next collection to meet that goal!

Thank you to all of the wonderful volunteers that contributed to the staff dinner during conferences!  It was very much appreciated!

Sonic Night!

Join the Holmes PTA Friday, October 20th at the Sonic Drive-In at 317 E. Fillmore.  It is Sonic Night and 10% of all proceeds from 5:00pm-8:00pm will be donated to the PTA.  Spread the word and invite your family and friends.  We hope to see you there!

Box Tops

Have you been collecting Box Tops?  We want them!!  The deadline for the first semester collection is Friday, October 27th.  When submitting your Box Tops, make sure to write the name of your student on the baggie or envelope.  The collection box is in the front office.  Prizes will be awarded for the most Box Tops submitted. 

Every Box Top is worth ten cents, which doesn't sound like much, but does add up quickly.  Did you know that you can also help by getting the Box Top app?  There are featured offers that can be redeemed for Box Tops. All that you have to do is choose Holmes as your school and scan your grocery receipt.    The Box Top website(www.boxtops4education.com) is also a great place to enter sweepstakes to win bonus Box Tops for the school.
Thanks to everyone that attended movie night! It was great to see so many families.

Join us for PTA Movie Night on Friday, September 29th at 7:00pm.  Bring your camp chairs, blankets, bean bags, and pillows.  We will be showing Middle School: The Worst Years of My Life.  Concessions will be available and everything will be $1.00!!  This is a family event so all parents/guardians must accompany your children.  We hope to see you there!

Holmes Food Cupboard - Donations always needed and much appreciated!

The Holmes Food Cupboard helps provide food to our students in need over the weekends and during school closures when our students do not have access to food services.  All school year long, the counseling department is in need of the following items:  peanut butter, jelly, canned fruit, and bread. Ready-to-eat and ready-to-cook foods are also always welcome!  Donations can be dropped off in the counseling office.

Keep using those cards!

Woo hoo! So far, we have had $9,560.00 in King Soopers gift card reloads, which means we've earned $478.00 for the PTA just by doing our regular shopping!  (As of this posting, our Safeway gift card statement is not yet available.)  A huge "THANK YOU!" to everyone who has used their cards to shop! 

Please don't forget to use your cards.  Every dollar counts!  (Order forms are available in the office.)

Did you know?  If 300 families spend $120 per month in groceries from King Soopers and/or Safeway, the PTA could earn $21,600 for our students in 1 year?

Woo hoo! So far, we have had $574.50 in Safeway gift card reloads and $4,700.00 in King Soopers gift card reloads, which means we've earned $263.73 for the PTA just by doing our regular shopping. A huge "Thank you" to everyone who used their cards last month for a combined total of $3020 in reloads! 

Please don't forget to use your cards.  Every dollar counts!  New cards are on order, so if you haven't gotten yours yet, order one soon!  (Order forms are available in the office.)

Mark Your Calendars - Monday, Sept. 14, 5:30-6:30pm is the first PTA Meeting of the 2015-2016 School Year


The first PTA meeting of the 2015-2016 school year is on Monday, September 14, 2015, from 5:30-6:30pm in the Media Center.  We will be nominating new officers to fill vacant spots on the PTA Board and Chairpeople for Various Committees, so please email the PTA President Olivia Coszalter at Olivia.Coszalter@d11.org before the meeting if you are interested in one of these positions.
